Partners in Education
Webster University Vienna's Partners in Education Program has been changing lives for more than a decade. It enables gifted students, who otherwise could not afford a private, American education, to complete their academic studies by providing them the needed financial resources.
Here is how it works: The supporting organization donates enough funding for a bright, deserving student to pursue a bachelor's degree, MBA, or master's degree by making a two-year or a four-year pledge, depending on the chosen credential. The student, who is selected by a special university scholarship committee (in consultation with the donor, if preferred), commits to taking a pre-determined number of courses each year until the completion of the degree. Many companies then hire these students and groom them for managerial positions. This partnership not only benefits the students, but often it can lead to a direct payback to the supporting organizations.
Scholarship donations are tax-deductible according to Austrian law.
The following companies are the university's Partners in Education and provide scholarships to Webster students:
- Bank Gutmann AG
- Österreichische Lotterien
- Pfizer Corporation Austria
- Stadt Wien - Kultur
- UPC Austria
