It pays off to be a Webster alum!

Webster alums have always received special benefits on a global level. On a local level, though, the benefits were more limited. Over the past few months, the Alumni Office has worked on upgrading the benefit program by increasing our partner base. We are proud to say that we have been able to establish successful relationships with a number of local businesses as well as a partnership with the “Webster Student Support Service”, a student-run organization supported by the Webster Entrepreneurs. Thus, Webster Vienna alums now have access to discounted services from around 25 different partners. Our direct partners are introduced below. We are of course always open to new partnerships and welcome any suggestions or contact information.

Part of the Benefit Program is the new Alumni Benefit Card which we will send you upon request (see picture). The card serves as proof that you are part of the Webster community and you will receive the benefits upon showing this card. Just send an e-mail and we will mail you your individual benefit card.

PsychAccess offers you access to psychological testing and consulting in English! Mag. Krista Rothschild, clinical and health psychologist and Webster adjunct professor, has recently opened her own private practice PsychAccess. She is providing psychological assessments in the areas of psychiatric / psychological difficulties, vocational advising and personal growth. This service is available to Alumni, Staff and Faculty for a special discount of 25%. Krista has original English tests, a novelty in Vienna. The Vienna Review is a publication of the Vienna Journalism Institute (VJI) of Webster University. It is published periodically and distributed throughout Austria, overseas and on the Internet. The VJI is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the education and training of young journalists. Opinions expressed are those of the newspaper’s editorial staff, and do not necessarily represent those of the University’s administration, faculty or directors. Submissions are welcome from the university community and the public, and will be considered for publication.

Wine is a work of tradition that embodies a great deal of knowledge as well as a fair share of secrets. In order to produce top quality wines, a vast amount of personal experience is necessary. To preserve these secrets, the detailed knowledge of wine making is passed on from father to son very often by word of mouth alone. This is true also for the Walter Skoff winery located in the beautiful south of Styria. Walter Skoff, the current owner of the winery, took over the family business in 1984 from his father and initiated an exemplary upswing. He belongs already to the fourth generation in a family of winemakers. By now, his son Joachim has joined the company as winemaker. He has gained extensive experience from renowned wineries in New Zealand, Chile and South Africa and is responsible for introducing innovative ideas. VUZEM – Der Ledermacher was established in 1952. VUZEM offers retail and wholesale, repairs and exclusive tailoring of leather garments. The shop is located in the Laxenburger Straße 14, 1100 Vienna and its opening hours are: Monday – Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. 2 weeks free training at beers Vienna Dance & Health Club

beer’s is a fitness and health boutique which is particularly concerned with the individual needs of its members. Its goal is to achieve health through harmony between the psychic, mental and physical system.
