Scholarships application process
The Work Study Scholarship Program requires the submission of the following materials:
- Application form (pick up forms at the Student Affairs Office, Rm# 124, 1st floor)
- Statement of Financial Circumstances with supporting documentation (tax returns, income information)
- Resume listing relevant courses and work experience
- Scholarship conditions signed
- Webster University transcripts (originals not needed)
- Cover letter explaining your qualifications and financial need for a Work Study Scholarship
- Submit completed application to Student Affairs Coordinator Rm#124, 1st floor
Conditions
- A student academic record, skills and financial circumstances are considered in the placement. Only degree-seeking students are eligible. Currently enrolled students will be given preference in the selection process.
- Maintain a 3.0 scholastic average
- The amount of a scholarship cannot exceed the number of courses taken. Hours of the Work Study Scholarship are commensurate with the amount of the scholarship.
- The amount of the training scholarship is not redeemable as a cash payment.
- The amount of the scholarship must be used in the term for which it is granted; the scholarship cannot be carried forward to another term if the student enrolls for fewer credits.
- A student will not be given a scholarship in more than 1 department in a given term, exceptions are non-concurrent scholarships in different departments not exceeding five terms
- Scholarships are limited to a total of 5 terms with 20 hours per week for each recipient = 800 hrs total.
- Student Assistants must execute their duties as articulated and to the satisfaction of their supervisors. They must be available for training prior to their installation.
- Student Assistants must submit a time schedule to their supervisor no later than week 2 of current term. Lateness or absences must be made up within the term the scholarship is awarded.
- A bimester evaluation of the student’s performance will be made with continuation dependent on performance appraisal.
- Should a student assistant choose to leave their position, they must complete the term and give their supervisor at least four weeks notice, to provide adequate recruitment time for a replacement and training.
- When a student assistant completes a training scholarship, their supervisor will give them a written recommendation based on their performance.
- In accepting a training scholarship, the student agrees to:
- Uphold the confidentiality of the work they handle
- Act in a representative manner during their work hours
- Not make personal phone calls, personal copying/faxing nor engage in non-job related work during their assigned hours.
- Not use their position to benefit any individual or office i.e.: conflict of interest such as -photocopying for friends’ etc.
- Not accept any other scholarship

Computer Lab Assistant
Job Description
Computer lab assistants help the Computer System Administrators with following duties:
- Maintain and supervise the computer labs. Maintaining includes regular hardware equipment/accessory and software program cleanup, and supervising means to monitor proper usage of printers, and other items mentioned in the computer labs "Rules of Engagement".
- Help students, and staff with their computer related problems, and inquiries.
- Monitor the status of network and Internet services.
- Maintaining the students and faculty mailing list.
- Prepare and develop short guides for software, utility and network facilities.
- Helping in university web site maintenance and development

Student Affairs Assistant(s):
Job Description
Student Affairs assistant scholarship positions are available in the Student Affairs Department. Student Affairs provides regular, ongoing services to the student body and assists with the coordination of student housing, orientation, academic, cultural and social events in addition to individual departmental administrative duties.

Career Development Center (CDC) Assistant
Job Description
The duties of the CDC assistant include:
- Administer and update the website for the CDC
- Help developing contacts for potential job and/or internship opportunities and with the Austrian authorities
- Keep up with latest developments of the Austrian labor market in relation to foreign students
- Other tasks as needed
- Qualifications: fluency in English, working knowledge of German, good HTML skills,basic understanding of web development, good communication skills
