Professional Experience
Paul Gillingwater has worked in Information Security and Audit for more than 25 years, including a focus on Banking Operational Risk (Basel II and ISO27001) processes, payment transaction monitoring for Fraud and AML/CFT. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Webster University, where he teaches courses on Information Security, Mathematics, Networking and Telecommunications. In the past 15 years, Mr Gillingwater has worked for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and the International Atomic Energy Agency, where he contributed to improvements in security and network assurance processes and infrastructure. He is a specialist consultant in the areas of CyberSecurity and CyberTerrorism.
He was until recently Continental European Leader for Fraud and AML/CFT compliance at Unisys, where he championed the Unified Risk Intelligence platform across Europe. He is certified with CISSP and CISM, and blogs regularly on security and risk topics. His interests include the use of Visual Analytics for improvement in security and intelligence areas, golf, education and writing.
He has taught courses at Webster University (Austria and St. Louis), King Fahd Security College (Saudi Arabia), University of Florida (USA) and the University of Applied Sciences Technicum Wien (Austria.)
