"Research Preparation" Series

Starting Fall II, the Business & Management Department will begin offering a three part series of 1-credit courses designed to help students lose their fear of statistics and research.  The "BUSN 3100 Issues in Business: Research Preparation Seminars" will place emphasis on gaining an intuitive understanding of statistical tools without using mathematical equations. Various applications including but not limited to business and economics will be presented. The courses incorporate simulation techniques using computer software (Excel) to demonstrate statistical concepts.  This series is open to students of all departments who wish to either refresh their statistics skills, prepare for an upcoming statistic course, or who simply wish to gain a basic understanding of this important tool of analysis.
