Following his lecture on “Renewable Energy in the Arab World”, before the Arab Energy Forum in May 2011, Dr. Mehdi Ali, Professor of Economics at Webster, was invited by the Arab Renewable Energy Commission to give a presentation on “Solar Energy in the Arab Region” before the Arab Renewable Energy Congress held in Amman, Jordan during 29-30 November 2011.

The congress was held under the auspices of HRH Prince Assem bin Nayef and attended by ministers and governmental representatives from across the Middle East and North Africa region as well as renowned solar energy experts from around the world. The congress aimed at stimulating and moving forward the region’s renewable energy industry in a sustainable manner.

Dr. Ali’s presentation was very well received by the various energy experts and senior energy officials who participated in the event.
