Dr. Arthur Hirsh, Director and Mrs. Jutta Pedigo, student Affairs Coordinator met with Mr. Christian Spiegelfeld, General Manager and Mrs. Cecily Corti, Director from the VinziRast CortiHaus on Tuesday, November 15th to officially hand over the Webster Works Worldwide donation proceeds collected at a two day bake sale on campus.

The VinziRast CortiHaus is a local Viennese homeless shelter which is located in Vienna’s 12th district and is run by honorary volunteers. ViziRast is a home for the homeless on a daily basis from 6.30pm – 8am for 1 Euro per night. It is visited and appreciated by up to 60 people per night, some come with their partners, and some with their dogs to find a cozy shelter for the night that includes a basic dinner and breakfast. Many return due to its comfortability but mostly because of the volunteers running the shelter. They are said to be honest, forthcoming, non-judgmental and they make one feel respected and at home.
