Background and Facts
Lives in Vienna since 1984. After her studies in cultural anthropology and communications at the University in Vienna (with an emphasis on audio- visual media and intercultural connections) she went on a field research journey to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize . She continued her studies with an IOAC at Webster University St.Louis, MO and graduated 1999. Her individualized degree program included studies in Media, Art, Anthropology and Ethnology. The curriculum provided an overview of the relationship between culture and communications media. Both photography and video formed the basis for exploring communications within or across cultures. Since the late 80’s she is working commercially and artisticly as a graphic and media designer. She worked as a writer, director and a producer in public television, and cross-media productions. In addition to participations in many multimedia projects she works as visual artist with photography, image-manipulation interactive-media and web-based projects. Currently she is continuing her studies in cultural anthropology.
