Tired, exhausted, burnt out – 1, 5 Million Austrians feel the same. More people than expected experience job-related or personal burnout. This number was presented during the first international congress for Burnout & Job Engagement which took place in Vienna in 2006. The congress was organized by Webster University and lasted three days. 170 participants and 25 national and international experts gathered to discuss Burnout, Job Engagement and other related issues. Internationally respected researchers, as well as psychologists, doctors, psychotherapists and coaches provided a deep and fascinating inside into this relatively new emerged disorder.
