Prof. Oberlechner at Congress in Australia

Department Head Prof. Oberlechner will be participating as a guest presenter at the 27th International Congress of Applied Psychology held in Melbourne (Australia) this year in July. The congress is held every four years and is hosted by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP). A number of prominent psychologists, researchers and key note speakers will be talking on key themes such as homelessness, poverty, terrorism, genocide and climate change, just to name a few. "Confidence in one’s own investment skills: A survey of demographic differences, luck attribution, and the influence of perceived market mood" will be Prof. Oberlechner's presentation topic.

The study, based on a representative sample, was conducted in Austria and examines several aspects concerning people's confidence in judging their own investment skillls.
