PSYC3325 Applied Learning Theory

The course focuses on basic learning theory within the context of applied clinical, educational, family, and social settings. It integrates important theories, research methods and applications for practical psychological work with topics including the physiological bases of learning and memory, classical and instrumental conditioning, perception and information processing, attention, motivation, social learning and selected theories of human cognition.

Students will be provided with an understanding of the major theories and principles of psychology in the area of learning and memory in order to afford them the opportunity to relate these principles and theories to their own experience and to various fields of psychology.

Prerequisite: PSYC 1100, PSYC 2825, and 6 credit hours of psychology, or permission of the instructor.
