Guest Lecture by Mag. Karin Macke

Therapist Karin Macke will be at Webster University to provide an insight into the Viennese Women´s Counseling Center, which was founded in 1981. The focus of attention is the psychotherapy from woman to woman, adopting a holistic approach to counseling. To ensure this, the women-specific psychotherapy takes into consideration the connections and interactions of economic, societal, physical and emotional problems.

In addition to psychological counseling, individual and group psychotherapy, the Viennese Counseling Center offers a variety of other services. Among others, the psychotherapists provide women with legal advice, medical counseling and telephone counseling.
Psychological areas of focus are problems in relationships, health problems, depression and anxiety states such as panic attacks, eating disorders, sexuality, conflicts with children and issues around career and the workplace.

Karin Macke will be at Webster University on June 28 to introduce her field of work to students who have taken the introductory class to Counsling. Psychology students who are not enrolled for this class are welcome to join as well! Karin Macke herself is Webster's Counseling Therapist and can be consulted by Webster students, staff and faculty members.
