Webster University and Sigmund Freud
Webster University and the Embassy of the United States jointly invite you to an insightful talk on Sigmund Freud’s interpretation of the visual content of dreams. The talk will be conducted by Dr. Diane O’ Donoghue, a visiting psychology professor at Webster Vienna this term.
Professor O’ Donoghue is an art historian and archaeologist. She is currently the Chair Department of Visual and Critical Studies at Tufts University and is a scholar member of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. She completed her dissertation from Harvard University and since then her work has been supported by numerous grants and fellowships, among them two awards through the Fulbright Scholars Program, including the Fulbright/Sigmund Freud Visiting Scholar of Psychoanalysis. She has taught at both the University of Vienna and the Academy of Fine Arts. Her writings have been selected for the CORST Prize, given by the American Psychoanalytic Association and the Felix and Helene Deutsch Prize. Professor O’Donoghue teaches at Webster University Vienna as a recipient of Dr. Elisabeth Ortner-Chopin Visiting Professorship for Spring 2010.
