The Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees are primary university degrees earned in the American system of education. They provide the educational foundation necessary to meet the demands of contemporary society and introduce a range of ideas including vocational and/or professional options.
The undergraduate degree (BA or BS) requires the successful completion of 43 courses or 128 semester credit hours of academic work. Individual courses normally earn three semester credit hours per course.
