The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Comparative International Business Law (CIBL) at Webster Vienna Private University (WVPU) is a strategically developed undergraduate program that prepares students to engage critically and professionally with the legal dimensions of global commerce, financial regulation, and cross-border governance. Designed to meet the demands of a complex and evolving legal and economic landscape, the program integrates rigorous academic instruction in core legal principles with applied, practice-oriented training across diverse international contexts. It serves as a foundational degree for students pursuing further academic study in law or related disciplines and for those seeking to operate professionally in international business environments.
The program does not lead to national legal licensure and is not designed to qualify graduates for bar examinations in Austria or elsewhere. Rather, it cultivates the scholarly and professional capacities required for cross-border legal work and further postgraduate specialization. The curriculum is structured to provide a comprehensive legal education grounded in public and private law, with a strong emphasis on comparative legal analysis.

Graduates of the program emerge as critical thinkers and legal professionals capable of navigating the complexities of international legal practice, policymaking, and corporate governance.
The curriculum for WVPU’s Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Comparative International Business Law is designed to provide students with a rigorous, multidisciplinary legal education grounded in international and comparative perspectives.
The study program consists of five modules and comprises a total of 240 ECTS credits, designed to be completed in eight semesters.
The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program provides a structured legal education with a strong foundation in both public and private law. These core courses ensure a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, supporting students' progression into specialized areas.
The Introduction to Law and Legal Systems module provides students with a comprehensive foundation in core concepts of law, (international) legal systems, legal research and writing as well as business ethics. Already in this foundational module, students will learn the various concepts, theories, methods and skills from both an international and interdisciplinary perspective.
